Caught in the Wild (April, 2010)
This is my first painting in acrylics. I was learning how to mix various shades of green as well as applying them on canvas. I am very good with details, so my bird looks real good. This painting SOLD!
Apple Blossoms (April, 2010)
This is my second painting and so far, the only painting that does not have an animal in it. I learned more on background textures and mixing another color into it. I used a sea sponge! That was cool! Then I added the three flowers. This painting SOLD!
Hungry Stripes (May, 2010)
I wanted to do a tiger but my mom said that it would be way too hard for me since I am just starting out with acrylics. Hehehe! I love challenges and I especially love proving my mom wrong! So, this is my third painting and I think it turned out quite well! It took me a long time but I had a lot of fun creating this masterpiece!
Night Hawk (June, 2010)
I love hawks and wanted to do this one. It took me a while to get the eye just right and I am happy with it. My mom was very surprised that I completed this painting in about four hours.
I'm Watching You (June, 2010)
I finished this one right around my 13th birthday. The eyes are the hardest to create, but it does make the wolf come to life. This time, I used a paint spatula for the tree stump. That was pretty easy, fast, and cool! I painted this masterpiece in a little under six hours.
The Crack of Dawn (August, 2010)
This is my first scenery with a far, far background (the pink sky), then the far background (hazy trees), the background (fore trees), and then the deer as my focal point. I found a picture of the deer on the internet but it was missing two legs! So, I had to improvise. I created sunlight spots on several trees to give it the look that the sun is out.
Larry (October, 2010)
This is my pet iguana named Larry. He was very challenging to paint since I had to run back and forth from my bedroom or outside just to look at Larry and his colors, patterns, and designs. That was fun! But it also took a very long time since Larry's skin colors changed a lot and he was in different positions than what I had drawn him out on canvas. I told my mom and dad that I am never going to paint reptiles! But that might change someday...
Good Friends (December, 2010)
This took a long time to complete since there were two chipmunks this time to detail out. I used three photos and combined them into one painting. I learned more shadowing and shading. I also wanted my two chipmunks to look different in their fur color and size. Overall, I am satisfied with this painting.
What Are You Looking At? (January, 2011)
This painting took about six hours to complete and I really enjoyed putting in the snowflakes by using a toothbrush. My dad thinks the talons need to be longer but I say the leg is deep inside the back tail feathers and the Eagle is slightly leaning to the right, therefore the talons look small.
A Great Catch (March, 2011)
I wanted to try painting an Eagle in action as well as my first water scene. I am quite pleased with how the water spray ended up with the Great Catch of the fish. This painting is also my biggest, on a canvas that is 36 x 40. Right now, this painting is hanging over my bed and it looks quite nice!
On The Loose (April, 2011)
This is my first painting done in oils. I really enjoyed how the paint blends and gives me a good feeling for my future projects as to when to use oils or when to use acrylics.
I am very pleased on how this painting turned out and I look forward to doing another painting in oils.

Gone Fishing (May, 2011)
This was a fun painting to do. I am really impressed on how the water turned out as well as the grassy background! Poor fish!
Baby Raccoons (October, 2011)
I started this project at the end of May but decided to take the whole summer off from painting. Instead, I played baseball and golf and went camping with my friend.
Mercury (February, 2012)
It took awhile to paint this since half way through, I went on a long vacation over Christmas. Getting back into painting after playing with all my new toys was hard. Anyway, this is my first painting I did on commission from a woman who wanted a painting of her daughter's dog as a gift. This painting SOLD.
Portrait of a Man (March, 2012)
This is my first time painting a portrait of a man. I actually think that painting a person is much easier than painting animals! I did this painting on commission from a custodian at my school who wanted me to paint from a picture of his dad. I hope he likes it!
Digger (April, 2012)
This is my red-slider turtle named Digger. I caught him when he was just a baby and now I keep him in an aquarium next to my bed. This acrylic painting took me a long time to complete since I didn't like the background water very much. I ended up adding some blue to the water and I think that worked. The tutle now stands out better. I am glad that this painting in now complete!
United States Marine Corps (November, 2012)
I wanted to surprise my brother with this painting since he just got out of the United States Marine Corps. This turned out nice even though I forgot to add the ribbon in the Eagle's mouth. My brother said he liked it just the way it is. He will be hanging this painting in his apartment soon.
